Thinking about your employment goals?

If you’re an NDIS participant thinking about work, speak to us about joining Disability Employment Services to help you prepare, find and keep a job.

Disability Employment Services, also known as DES is the main employment service for people with a disability, injury, or health condition, looking for work.

APM Employment Services supports NDIS participants to find a job and get the support they need to keep it.

If you are already thinking about the job you want to do, speak to us about accessing DES.

DES is free and won’t impact other supports in your NDIS plan

When you join DES you get tailored support to build the skills you need for employment.

Working with you and any support coordinators you choose, we’ll put together a job plan that matches your interests and goals.

Your plan is unique to you, and may include helping you:

  • build your confidence
  • find and apply for jobs
  • getting to know your local job market
  • write resumes, job applications and perform in interviews
  • connect with employers and other support services
  • understand any funding you’re eligible for

When you find a job, your DES support continues so you can succeed in the workplace. This may include support to:

  • manage your work hours
  • report your income to Centrelink
  • access funds for tools or workplace modifications
  • access other job related training or support services
